The New York Botanical Gardens

We've created a collection of luxury floral fragrances and bath soaps from flowers found within the gardens. All of the NYBG scent profiles were extracted using a state of the art non-destructive fragrance capture technology to ensure the plants continue to thrive.

Every purchase of our NYBG Products directly supports the New York Botanical Garden’s work in plant research, conservation, horticulture and education.

Making fragrance sustainable

Capturing the scents of the garden

Fragrances have traditionally been made by cultivated fields and fields of flowers, then harvesting and pressing them to create very small volumes of the oils used in fragrances and soaps.

Using IFF's (International Flavors and Fragrances) proprietary fragrance capture technology we've captured the scents of the garden without harming the flower. Placing a glass globe, or "headspace", over the blooming flower at its peak we insert a small rod into the heart to extract small amounts of fragrant pollen. We then work with Master Perfumers to duplicate the scent.

All while leaving nature exactly as we found it.
