LX48 Bar Soap

I have been using this soap for about a year now. I love the unique smell. Not obnoxious or overbearing. I add the perfume to give a longer lasting scent. I wish they made aftershave and body lotion in this scent.

It is very hard to describe the scent of this soap and yet it is so engrossing. Not loud or obnoxious, just sophisticated, unique and special.

This soap is amazing. Smells great and always feel clean and refreshed. I only use Caswell-Massey soap, shave cream, aftershave, shave tonic, etc. Buy this soap, you won’t be disappointed.

I have been using Caswell-Massey since 1973! Love your soaps - that is the only soap I use. Also always used your almond hand cream, which you have discontinued. BRING IT BACK! Your lotions are awful. Consistency is like water and no hint of almond scent. What a disappointment. The least expensive Jergens almond lotion is 10 X better than yours!

I love all of the Caswell-Massey products I've purchased. I know the scent profiles that fit me, and these always hit the mark!

This scent is very cold weather ready and the soap replenishes the skin nicely.

Like many others here, I am a longtime Caswell-Massey customer. Many of the other bath soaps have very strong aromas. While none of them are even remotely disagreeable, they are nonetheless present and sometimes dominant in a bathroom environment. In contrast, the fragrance of the LX48 bar is much more subtle. Very attractive, very interesting and, to me, calming. This is a great part of the C-M line.

Love all the Caswell-Massey soaps. Once you use them you never go back.

Finally a new and manly soap with great fragrances. Each one could be a good soap on its own. Put all together in one bar and they are still there.

I was amazed after my first use of a bar while showering. It softened skin immediately. Best soap that I have ever had the pleasure of using. I will be placing a larger order for the soap in the near future.

20 years ago when I lived in California, I was a regular customer at your San Francisco store. Work took me to the UK and lived there for several years, having to do without my Jockey Club and other "necessities" from Caswell Massey. Now, back at home in the US, I've found you again and I'm overjoyed! Thanks for your excellent products which I use with confidence and joy and give as gifts to friends and family.

Peony is my current favorite fragrance. Like all C-M soaps, the quality is excellent. Truly a delight.

Smells great, dense soap that lasts a long time..

I appreciate the traditional fragrances. Just saying it as it is. Subtle impression is better than "contemporary" high impact attempts to say, "Hey, I'm here!"

Absolutely another winner from Caswell-Massey! Love the scent of this soap and as always the bar lathers well and leaves a nice slight scent even after a rinse and towel off. Great woody scent that is balanced, modern, and masculine - I love it!

I am very unhappy with the size which I find awkward to hold. I wrote to your team just a few days ago and was told the size is now the only option. It's a deal breaker for me. I'll hav to use what I have but sadly I will have to find another source. I probably will still order from
C_M products in oval shape, if they are still offered.

I hated the scent the first few hours I had it on. I can't say why, maybe because it didn't smell like anything I had ever worn. By the third time I wore it I literally wanted to wear it everyday. I literally missed it and found myself saving it for days I was not going to be doing much and therefor it would last longer. It is the kind of fragrance that you wear for you. I know that sounds strange and probably superstitious but it is true. I promise. This scent is for men...Period.

My husband really likes this and the Sandal Wood soaps. All of Caswell-Massey soaps are top notch, but these particular scents are his favorites. They are long lasting and kind to the skin.
We both think Caswell-Massey products are well worth the price!

I first discovered this brand when I stayed at a Weston well over thirty years ago. The LX48 soap does not disappoint. In the tradition of other C-M products, the quality of this soap is outstanding,

One thing you can depend on - the quality of the products purchased from Caswell-Massey. I bought this soap because of the scent and because it's also the cologne I wear. It's not overpowering, but I have had more folks comment on its scent than any other cologne I have used. A great soap and a great line of scents.

I don’t like the smell of these, and bought 2 3 packs thinking I’ve never got a scent I didn’t like. I wrote customer service asking if I could return or exchange them with no response weeks later.

Classic scent. Will definitely continue to use this product.

I got them for Christmas gift so I cannot answer this. They smell nice.
