I have all the Caswell Massey shaving creams, they are the best. I thought the Woodgrain would be overpowering but I was wrong, it's just right.

Shipped very quickly, first of all. Creamy, easy to apply with a nice badger hair brush, and leaves the skin baby smooth. The scent is masculine without being annoying.

Like all of your shave creams I have used, yours are the best brand. I began buying them for my Dad over 35 years ago and now by them for my two sons and myself. I have also recommended them to my friends.

I’ve been a wet shaver for over 60 years & have enjoyed several nice shave creams but this is by far the best. A very rich creamy lather that provides a terrific smooth shave, ( I use Proraso pre-shave cream applied first). If you enjoy your shave don’t miss this, and it’s also a very good value.

I am a TOBS user and its price is insane for what it is. When I saw this Caswell-Massey 226g vs. 150g I was like WOW --- Ok! My 1st shave was using an old blade - last shave before replacing so a good test as I have sensitive skin. This product smells of real Sandalwood where as TOBS smells like some 1930's barbershop but it reminds me of my grandfather so there is some nostalgia there and the Bannister Mann after shave lotion kills the smell & its memory. Back to this shave cream, there are 2 major shortcomings, lack of lube to the skin or viscosity and the lack of lather by comparison. It does lather to a degree but you need to add drips of water to the brush but that thins it out. TOBS lathers way better and sticks to the skin for a smoother glide and protection. I had to go back in for the 2nd pass and TOBS I could get 3 and barely 4 passes on the 1st dip.

PROS
- Smells excellent
- Lots of product for the money 226g vs 150g in TOBS or the like...

CONS
- As far as a "shave cream" (NOT SOAP) this is WEAK protection against irritation - there is a minimal amount - why I get cream not soap
- Lack of lather from what I am use to - its ok and avg
- I will use the extra product to get the same amount of shaves 226g vs. 150g so the net result is the same but I will use all the extra product for no gain of value savings

* I bought the Sandalwood body wash at the $45 insane price point - but I have to say that wash gets 5++ STARS and IRONICALLY that body wash removed the razer burn from my face so well I did not even need to use my Bannister Mann after shave lotion. I also use Cereve cream and that body wash does so well I find I do not need it. Whatever is in your body wash put that stuff in the shave cream and you'll have a 6 star shave cream. Sadly Ill go back to TOBS and try different scents as the product performs better on "my" face. Try it you may love it if your using big box crap and poison, this is like heaven by comparison to that junk.

Absolutely loved it. The perfume was rich and lasting. The cream itself prevented razor burn and moisturized my skin. This is huge because I am extremely prone to razor burn

Item is a gift. Recipient really likes Sandalwood so that I order it for him each time he runs out. Usually order a different one at same time also, & only one that didn’t satisfy was ROS. Will continue to order, & will continue to try others too.

I already love the soap and the cologne so I decided to try the shave cream. I love this stuff. Same great sent in an easy to apply lotion that creates a very smooth surface for your razor. A little goes a long way and I love smelling my favorite sandalwood while I shave.

Shaving is usually such an automatic, unthinking thing. But, now I think about and look forward to shaving because of this product. It helps me get a closer shave. The scent is comforting and beautiful, and feels good on my face. And my wife tells me she loves the aroma. I have used sandlewood products from other companies but this Caswell-Massey shaving cream is by far the truest sandlewood smell. Highly recommended, no matter the cost!

The scent is beautifully deep and relaxing, and the cream itself makes the razor effortlessly glide across the skin. I have very sensitive skin and very easily suffer from razor burn, but I have had no problems since using this product. It leaves my face feeling incredibly soft and nourished almost like an aftershave balm.
