Lilac Eau de Toilette

Just lovely and lasts all day

Although I have enjoyed other products from this company, this lilac perfume was not one of them. Of course perfume relies entirely on personal chemistry but I detected zero lilac. Even when I sprayed it on different materials, in the air etc. it smells green and has a powdery forgettable dry down. Nothing special or even particularly pleasant. The price was right if I like it and it was on time. Bummed out tbh. Onto the eternal search for the perfect lilac perfume.

So disappointed! I love lilac scent but there was no hint of it in the Lilac Eau de Toilette that I received. I shared it with several friends who agreed with my feeling just to make sure it wasn't a "me" thing. I'm sure this is a lovely scent for the right person, just not me.

Shipping is incredibly fast! The lilac scent brings me back to picking Lilacs with my late mom as a child and then using our bouquet in our kitchen. Lilacs hold such a special place in my heart and this scent reminds me of my wonderful mom and childhood!

Lilacs are my wife's favorite flower, to the extent of naming our daughter after a variation of Lilacs. She has never enjoyed a perfume more than this.

I was so looking forward to receiving this and when it finally arrived I couldn't be more disappointed. I did not care for it one bit. I could barely discern the Lilac scent at all - just a strong "perfume" smell. I ordered Lilac cleaning products from another company and I would rather spray those on me than this.

SO disappointed. I felt that for the price and the reputation of Caswell-Massey this would be a real lilac scent. There isn't even a hint of lilac in this. Will return it.

I have been wanting to smell like lilacs for a long time. When I was little, my grandmother would sit me up on the counter after a bath and bring out her peach or lilac lotions for me to choose from. I often chose lilacs. They were our favorite flowers. It's a great disappoint to me that lilacs only bloom for two weeks in the Spring before dying. When I tested this fragrance, I literally squealed and giggled with joy. It smells just like lilacs. For an eau de toilette, it is strongly authentic lilac at first but fades quickly into more of the suede and amber notes. I appreciate that Caswell-Massey collaborated with the New York Botanical Garden to create this, and that proceeds support their work in plant research and conservation. Very cool! My grandmother would have loved it. Only downside is the fact that it is not hormone-friendly. Endocrine disruptors are very common in fragrances. So if I find a lilac perfume that is safe for hormones, I am switching. Until then, this is great.

Love this fragrance- just the right amount of lilac…… and you can tell it’s real lilac. It does not have the artificial/manufactured lilac scent some other fragrances have. I layer it over the Caswell Massey #6 and it’s delicious

What a wonderful scent for spring/summer. No wonder they call this a living floral; it smells just like lilacs. I'm typically not driven towards green scents, but this one is exceptional. It's my new go-to scent. I originally had this chosen in my Discovery set and I wound up buying the full size.

Did not find it to be he true scent of Lilac. I will keep and use it but will not buy this fragrance again.

I bought the smaller spray. Perfect for my purse where I can touch up throughout the day. This scent really reminds me of the lilac bushes in bloom at my grandmother's house. The smell is really authentic. I love that it doesn't smell fake. Its a light fragrance that doesn't linger all day, if that's what you're after. Really love this fragrance and all the memories it brings back.

I love the smell of lilac, especially off fresh blooms. Most lilac perfumes come across as smelling like air fresheners rather than something to put on one's body. This company's scents are luxurious and luscious in comparison to others. I will be a continued customer from here on out!

I previously purchased the trio lilac, gardenia, honeysuckle. I also purchased the smaller almond. I fell in love with the honeysuckle and lilac! So, I purchased the larger lilac first as the honeysuckle was temporarily out of stock. I adore these natural scents. They’re truly spot on!
