Feminine and delicate but not for wallflowers. Wild in origin, yet cultivated and refined. The poise and presence of the orchid, exemplified.
Together with the master gardeners at the New York Botanical Garden and renowned perfumer Laurent Le Guernec, we directly captured the molecular scent signature of rare and prized Cattleya orchids known for their exceptional color, beauty, and fragrance.
FRAGRANCE FAMILY: LIVING FLORAL CATTLEYA ORCHID
LIVING FLORALS: Caswell-Massey developed this perfume to celebrate the opening of the New York Botanical Garden’s 2019 Orchid Show. It’s fascinating to note that this is just the latest chapter in a long and storied history of orchid connoisseurship, which began when the rare plants became must-have status symbols to the elite of the mid-1800s. So obsessed were the rich with this flower that their condition was diagnosed as “orchidelerium.” Do not be surprised if our intoxicating fragrance incites a similar infatuation.
